Mark “Coach Rozy” Roozen, M.Ed,                                            CSCS, NSCA-CPT, TSAC-F, FNSCA

training3Mark Roozen – Coach Rozy –  received his bachelor in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota and his master’s degree in Exercise Science from Tarleton State University, in Stephenville, Texas.

Experience

Roozen has been a Strength & Conditioning Coach with the NFL and College programs as well as work with all levels of athletes from grade school to Olympians. He was Certification Director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Coach is the President and Owner Coach Rozy LLC, his company that handles public appearances and speaking, consultant work, performance training and offering performance products.

He is also Co-Founder of LIVE PAIN FREE – The Right Moves, which helps folks move right and exercise right to eliminate pain and movement problems in work, life and play.

Coach Rozy is also part of of 911 Tactical Performance, (http://www.911tacticalperformance.com) an organization that does consulting, education and training with police, firefighters and military groups throughout the country.

His training methodologies have been successfully applied to the full spectrum of the population youth, geriatric, rehabilitation, and a wide range of athletes.

Speaker and Consultant

Along with all his projects, he is working on a series of books and videos on various topics covering training methodologies and improving human performance. His energetic approach to life and advanced knowledge of conditioning have made him a sought-after speaker and consultant.

Clients

Roozen currently consults for various governmental agencies, educational institutions, and college and professional sports teams. Roozen has traveled to China to work with their Olympic athletes, worked with the Cleveland Browns, assisted with pre-season workouts for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and has worked with over 30,000 youth in sport and performance enhancement camps with NFL players such as Tim Dwight, Dallas Cowboy greats Emmitt Smith, Bill Bates, Darryn Woodson and Dexter Coakley, Quarterback Rich Gannon, defensive standout for Kansas City and Denver Neil Smith, as well as numerous players from the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans. Each summer he also brings his strength and conditioning knowledge and expertise to Coach Rozy’s Performance Training Academies, working with high school, college and professional athletes.

Professional Organizations

Home-CampsRoozen’s professional responsibilities have included serving on the Board of Directors for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), as the Chairman of the NSCA Sport Specific Conference, as past NSCA Texas State Director, and as a member of the NSCA Conference Committee, Nominating Committee and Memberships Committee. He has also
been involved in the Texas Association for Physical Education, Health, Recreation and Dance (TAPHERD), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and USA Weightlifting. Roozen has taught Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Test & Measurements and Theory of Strength Training
at Tarleton State University and is currently involved in several ongoing fitness and health
related projects.

Certifications

training2Roozen is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT), Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F), a Fellow of the NSCA (FNSCA) and is a Club Coach with USA Weightlifting. He has spoken across the country and internationally on all aspects of training, strength and conditioning, program design, pre-hab and re-hab topics, nutrition and areas of motivation, inspiration and goal setting.
