Ronette has been with the Coach Rozy Team since 2015. She graduated from the University of South Dakota with her Bachelors Degree in Education.  She is currently a First Grade Teacher at the Gayville-Volin School District where she also coaches Girls Basketball.

Ronette was an outstanding athlete in high school and in college in basketball and track, still holding the HS Record for High Jump and points in a game and season. She competed and placed at State in track and played basketball in College. She has been teaching and coaching for 13 years at Gayville-Volin.  Her love for fitness, performance and developing young men and women to elevate to new levels- as well as being a driven individual who likes to work hard, focus and bring high energy to at all she does – helps her excel with the Coach Rozy Team.

Ronette has a husband, Justin who also coaches and is a part time assistant with the Coach Rozy Team. She has 3 boys, Caid, Spencer and Preston, whom she loves to spend time with and is involved with their athletic and school programs.


Kyle McKelvey, CSCS

Kyle has been with Coach Rozy Performance since 2016.    He holds his M.A. in Kinesiology and Sport Science from the University os South Dakota (USD) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS),  also XPS Certified (Certified EXOS Performance Specialist).  He did his internship at EXOS in Texas where he worked with  30+ NFL Off-Season athletes and 8 NBA Off-Season athletes.

Coach McKelvey was Graduate Teaching Assistant of Kinesiology Department at USD while working on his Masters degree.  He also was on the USD Track and Field Athlete where he was Team Captain, Pan American Shot Put Silver Medalist (Team USA), USATF Junior National Champion, 4-time NCAA National Championship Regional Qualifier, and a State, School, and Summit League Conference Record Holder.  He also served as Volunteer Assistant for USD Spring Football Strength and Conditioning in 2015.

Trevor Woods, MA, ATC

Athletic Trainer for Yankton HS & Gayville-Volin HS

Trevor, MA, ATC has a bachelors degree in Athletic Training from South Dakota State University (SDSU) and a Masters Degree in Exercise Science from University of South Dakota (USD). He has been providing Athletic Training coverage to Yankton High School and Gayville-Volin High School for 17 years. He has been doing sports enhancement programs since 2002 working with numerous individual and team State Championship athletes.

He loves working with athletes to improve performance while helping reduce the risk of injuries for the athletes.


Tate Bruckner, CSCS

Tate has been with Coach Rozy Performance since 2015 helping with the Summer Performance Programs and working with select teams during the year.  Coach Bruckner had worked with the Mount Marty College softball program the l

ast two years as Head Coach.  Prior to that, Tate was strength and conditioning coach for the program as well as Mt. Marty Baseball.

Daniel Flahie, MSEd, CSCS

Summer Performance Coach
Instructor of Exercise Science & Health – Mt. Marty College


Daniel is the Instructor of Exercise Science & Health as well as the volunteer assistant track & field coach at Mount Marty College. Daniel graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Dakota State University then received his Master’s in Exercise Science from Wayne State College. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Speed and Agility Coach (CSAC),  Functional Movement Screen Level 1 (FMS), Y- Balance Test (YBT), and Reflexive Performance Reset Level 1 (RPR) Certified.
Coach Flahie has worked with a wide variety of clients and athletes from the ages of 8 to 85 both as a personal trainer and strength coach. He has worked closely in the weight room with collegiate baseball, soccer, and  track & field programs as well as many high school and middle school sports. Daniel also contributes articles to his own blog at, has been published in the Nebraska Coaches Magazine, and will have an article featured in an upcoming issue of Personal Training Quarterly published by the National strength and Conditioning Association. His graduate thesis is under review for publication as well. Coach is estatic to join Coach Rozy’s team and help make South Dakota a healthier, stronger, and more athletic State!


Lara Boman

Summer Performance Coach



Lara is a 2018 graduate of the University of South Dakota, holding a degree in physics. She is completing a master’s degree in kinesiology at USD, and will be serving as a graduate teaching assistant in the upcoming year. Lara is a member of the USD track & field team, competing in the hammer throw, weight throw, and shot put. She holds school records in the hammer throw and weight throw and has qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary meet in the hammer throw. She also competed for three seasons on USD’s women’s soccer team. Lara served as an intern for USD’s strength & conditioning department for two semesters, working with football, basketball, swim and dive, softball, and volleyball teams. She also has six years of experience coaching youth soccer, and has assisted at USD’s soccer and track & field camps.


Ben Hammer

Summer Performance Coach


Ben will be entering his senior year at the University of South Dakota majoring in Kinesiology & Medical Biology. He is a Dell Rapids graduate and is a member of the USD Track and Field team. He is currently second in school history at USD in the discus throw and in the top five for both indoor and outdoor shot put. He is a 2-time NCAA West Region Qualifier. Prior to transferring to USD, Ben completed his freshman season at Dakota Wesleyan University capturing the school record in the discus while qualifying for the NAIA National Championships for both indoor and outdoor seasons.

Ben also has coaching experience in several different sports working with track, basketball and football teams.
