Thoracic Mobility Kneeling Good Morning
It’s important for sparing the back when stretching to maintain an upright torso posture while doing hip and knee mobility work. A great thoracic mobility exercise that enhances lifting performance by assisting a better way we move during exercises is the THORACIC MOBILITY KNEELING GOOD MORNING.
Start in a kneeling position, next to a partner. Start with the hands clasped behind the head. The Partner will be kneeling in front of you, with the outside leg up, and the other leg back. Bend forward and place your elbows on your partners thighs. Your partner will apply pressure through the elbows, while at the same time, placing the other hand on the back and helping to DRAW OUT the elbows and gently helping achieve thoracic extension. Repeat this several times.
